I've been fighting the feeling lately that over the last couple of years--decades, really--humanity as a species has been on sort of a backward slide. If we're not actively marching backward into the past (and I argue that we are), we've at least hit a plateau. But then, sometimes a thing comes along that reminds me that we are, in fact, living in the future.

Today, that thing is aerosol pancakes.

Oh, what a beautiful world this will be. What a glorious time to be free.

I'm curious as to whether it is an actual product, or a marketing demo site.

They're just a little bit too sweet. The Web site has recipes for such as canapes and blinis, but I just don't see that working well at all.
