mr_bad_exampleThe Christmas shopping, it is nearly done. Only one more thing to buy, and I can only buy it in Des Moines.
I think I did pretty well this year. I really only bought one gift that was secretly for my own personal satisfaction: Costco memberships for my parents and my brother. It's not that I don't think they'll get good use out of them--my brother and sister-in-law especially will--it's just that spreading the Costco love is the only real way I have to stick it to Wal-Mart.

Date: 2004-12-24 05:06 am (UTC)(Of course, this is coming from a former Wal-Mart employee. i always feel like i should hang my head in shame for admitting to having worked there. It was for one year at a point where i really had no other good choices, so i made the best of bad ones. i'm glad i've left and i certainly won't go back.)
