Mar. 18th, 2005 01:03 amAfter only meaning to do it for seven years, I finally went to Boiled in Lead's traditional St. Patrick's Day show at First Avenue. The crowd was interesting--it was a mix of old hippies and the contingent of bearded guys in leather fedoras I'd expected to see. I bet I could have won the hearts of half the crowd if I'd jumped up on a speaker and shouted, "NORDSKOGEN ROCKS!"
It was a good show. The crowd was a little less raucous than I had expected, which I appreciated. I dislike St. Patrick's Day for the same reason I dislike New Year's Eve: It's when the amateurs come out.
