ANTORBOK MAGORMOR XEL'LOTATH!
Jan. 6th, 2005 10:53 pmIt took me a while to get around to it, but I've begun playing Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Gee. A guy who's the nervous type playing a scary zombie game. What could possibly go wrong?
I've been losing a lot of time to it. I mean I've been spending a lot of time playing it, not that it's sent me into catatonia or a fugue state or given me the willies or the heebie-jeebies or the screamin' meemies or anything. Although that's certainly possible; the thing that makes this game awesome is the Sanity Meter. As your character encounters the undead and finds out more of the secrets of the Ancients, their sanity takes a nosedive. The game fully depicts the whole process: You start out seeing blood dripping from the walls and hearing voices, then things get really weird. I'm a Lovecraft fan from way back, so this is good old spooky fun.
Also, one of the charaters is voiced by PORKINS! I'm not going to spoil what happens to his character, but I will just say damn...guy just can't catch a break.
