(no subject)

gismonda and I were at a loss as to what to do this NYE. We had been going to see whichever Lord of the Rings was out, but we couldn't do that this year. So, instead, we had people over for like the second time since we moved in.

coconuthead, kleric, solace_1974, and our friends Fred and Nicole from our D & D (shuddup!) group came over for some of Gismonda's delicious, delicious chili. No, telling a lie--Fred and Nicole came over later and didn't eat, because they're vegetarian. We played a fantastically long game of Munchkin Bites, which Coconuthead only stayed for the first part of, thereby missing the Bataan Death March that occurred as soon as everybody reached level 9. Then after Fred and Nicole left, the rest of us listened to the all-Stevie-Wonder edition of "Crap from the Past" and played Girl Genius: The Works. Kleric and Solace wanted to get home before the drunks hit the streets after midnight, so I spent the rest of the evening watching Gismonda play Animal Crossing. Not a bad way to end the year.
