New Year's Resolutions

1) I'm going to try to be less forgiving of human frailty. I tried going the other way with it, and it's never done me a lick of good. I tried approaching my fellow man with a sense of understanding and equanimity, and he tried to walk right the hell over me.

2) I'm going to keep track of the books I read this year. Partly so I can get in on the hot meme action at the end of the year, and partly just outta curiosity.

3) This will be the year I give stand-up comedy a try. This may intersect with resolution number 1. I'll need material.

I started doin' #2 last year, but kinda crapped out on keepin' it updated about August or so.
This year's list will be shorter right off the bat, 'cause I'm still readin' Perdido Street Station, and while I love it, it's a looooooooong book.
